Journaling:
Before we moved to Iowa, I imagined what life would be like in such a different place than SoCal. I wondered if people would be jealous of our experiences, if we would be accepted, and if we would fit in.
I worried my kids would be afraid of diversity - living in such a homogeneous society - although they would be safer and more grounded.
Today: Well most of my fears were ridiculous... Iowa is better than I imagined (and I had pretty high expectations!). The people are extremely open-minded and welcoming. Our public school system is amazing - far superior to LAUSD. Thanks to big insurance, banking, and agri industry in central Iowa, we have amazing minds from all over the globe as long term consultants. My friends here travel more than we do, and are quite cultured and educated. We have the perfect mix of small town and big city here. I must admit that at first I missed Costco and Trader Joes, but alas, they have both arrived to West Des Moines since we have. I love it here and never wish to leave!

What an amazing non-photo layout! Love all the little bits, your journaling and how you created the different parts of the journaling.

I loved reading your story and I love the LO - it's so creative and pretty. That circle, those doodles, the colours and the krafty background - lovely.
