I am so glad that I wasn’t there when you visited Centennial Lake this time! You see, when I was a bit older than you, I fell into this exact lake while feeding the ducks. My mom, your Grandma Tynes, went ballistic, screaming at me, stripping me of my clothes & wrapping me in an itchy Army blanket while exclaiming that I was certainly going to catch pneumonia - all in front of the out-of-town company we had staying with us. Needless to say, it is one of only a few memories I have from living in Nashville as a child. I am glad that you were able to enjoy the lake this day without me. If I had been there the memories of my experience may have led me to be anxious & over-protective & I probably would have ruined all of your fun!
