Bryn,
Words carn hardly describe how proud I was of you at the Sooner State Games. Your team pulled together and won a tough semi-final match to make it into the finals. And although you played the majority of that game, you once again gave it all you had in the final game. Unfortunately in the last few minutes your team came up short by one goal. They handed out the medals before you walked out to the parents and I wasn’t sure if we’d see tears or smiles. But when you came out with your soccer bag slung over your shoulder your grin
was from ear to ear. After studying your medal for several minutes you looked right at me and said, “Mom, 8 other teams didn’t make it as far as we did.” That’s right baby, they didn’t. I was so proud that you could find the joy in a 2nd place finish and celebrate the accomplishment. And for that most of all I’m proud of you! Love, Mom
