"It was Gwendolyn’s first Christmas,
and she was sick, sick, sick with
her first cold. We drove down to
my IL’s in NC, and I then spent the
next week holding a feverish, snotty,
lethargic baby girl, who had no idea
what was going on. We literally didn’t
leave the house for a week, I didn’t do
any Christmas activities, didn’t put her
Christmas dress on her. I just sat and
nursed her, or her daddy held her while she
was sleeping. Still, we
were all together, so
that made it good."
