Inspired by one of the Digi-Dares. It's an interview with my daughter's amazing teacher that she's had for 3rd and 4th grade.

Journaling:
Q. When you were a child, what was the first thing you remember wanting to be when you grew up? When did you decide you wanted to be a teacher?

I think I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. Yes, I was a "Teacher's Pet". Always eager to please and wanting to help. (Qualities I see in Miss Regan!) As I got older I did LOTS of babysitting and actually considered becoming a
Nanny during my college-age years! I taught Art at Miss Helen's Private School to 2 and 3 year olds when Kyle and I were first married and then as we had children began working in our church preschool programs. Finally I decided to make it official and go back to college to get the degree! I went back to college when Ben was 1.

Q. What do you love most about teaching?

The kids! Wow, they are amazing! The fact that I have the priviledge to teach them things they do not know is overwhelming and exciting. I remember those teachers that made a difference in my world and I only hope I am making a positive impact on my students. No two days
are the same!

Q. What do you think is the biggest success Regan has had over the past two years in your classroom?

Self-discipline and increased confidence in her abilities! She is my "Mother-Hen" and wants to be a part of everything. She has matured over the past two years in her understanding of when to be a part and when to leave it alone. She is competitive and seems outwardly confident but I think often times she doubted herself. She wants
to please.

Q. What is your favorite memory of Regan?

My favorite memory of Regan is the day I told
them I was looping. I wanted to cry. They
were so excited and it made me feel so good!
When she smiles, she brightens my world!

Q. What do you think is Regan’s best attribute?

Regan has THE sweetest spirit! She is kind-hearted and very giving! She has the gift of Mercy! Regan is driven, which will take her very far!

Q. What do you envision Regan doing with her future?

Regan has the opportunity to do ANYTHING! You allow her to dream! I love that! I do envision her working with children someday. Maybe as a coach or a teacher. She is patient and loving! Maybe a physical therapist for children. She could share her love for sports and her abilities to work with others!
