journalling:I've been to the zoos in Sanford & in Melbourne many times. I have also been to Sea World, Gatorland, Gator Jungle & Busch Gardens as well. I finally made the trip to Lowry Park zoo in Tampa though after living in Florida for so many years. I have to say I was truly impressed. It is not at all like any zoo I've ever been to before. For one thing they use very few actual cages. The animals are for the most part out in the open. They're of course still contained but have so much more room. So I really loved to see that. The best part for me was the orangatans. There was one in particular who was just a little clown. I do believe we'll make another trip there very soon!
