The journaling is a story that my parents used to tell me when I was a little girl. It
was their way of letting me know from the earliest that I was adopted. I think it
might have been a little different (maybe longer), but this is how I remember it

Journaling
Once upon a time, far, far away, there lived a mommy and daddy and
three little boys who wanted a little girl very much. Across the land there
lived a little girl who’s mommy loved her very much but couldn’t take care
of her. So the little girl went to live with the new family. Now her name
was Chrissy Marie, but her new family wanted her to feel like a part of the
family, so they renamed her Jeni Dawn. The little girl was so happy to
finally have a family that needed her. And it was true, they did need her
for without her, their family was incomplete. But God had answered their
prayers the day they sent her to them. And they all lived happily ever after!
