This trip resulted in some great stories and inside jokes that will likely be told over and over. At one point, Rachelle stood on top of the tube as Travis pulled her along. Of course, this soon resulted in a massive crash where her bathing suit bottom ripped off. Luckily, it floated up into her hands and was able to be repaired, but we were all a little nervous for a second. Later, we tied up to the floating dock near our resort. Everyone jumped out, venturing off to gather various things, leaving Rachelle and I inside the boat. A few minutes later, we were shocked to realize that the rope had came untied and we were moving directly towards the shore. We freaked out and Rachelle jumped out of the boat, grabbing the rope, and began the exhausting process of trying to drag the boat back to the dock. The friendly people on the next boat over offered kind advice, “just turn it on and pull up.” To my embarrassment, I had to explain that I didn’t know how to turn on the boat. Thankfully, a very kind man jumped into the water and helped the exhausted Rachelle toll the boat back to the dock. A few other memorable moments: Rachelle & Howie’s dangerous undertaking of the “four loco challenge,” Howie ranting about “stupid white people,” and Kalley’s realization that skiing can be a very painful sport.
