I mainly think that I have got used to the fact that you will never be able to talk again but there are sometimes when I catch myself thinking I can hear you calling me and then realise that it can’t be true. I know you mourn the loss of your voice and want to be able to shout and sing and chat as you always used to, but sometimes I think people forget that it is not only hard for you - but hard for me as well. Your cluster and shadows are fantastic Rachel, but your journaling is the heart of this page. My father lost the ability to speak two years before his death and it is such a hard thing on everyone. Hugs to you!
