For the SSD Tell Your Story Challenge #1
Journalling reads:
I was born on July 19, 1976 at 1:06 pm,
the first child for my parents. My mom
recalls it was a Saturday, when
her water broke. She was taken to the
hospital on Sunday, and I was born on
Monday. Mom says that I didn’t cry,
and it took only three pushes and there I was.
I weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces at birth.
I was kept in isolation for a while,
with my mom’s water being broken for so
long, they were afraid of infection. My mom
was only 19 years old when I was born.
Back in those days, no one was allowed
in the delivery room, not even my dad. She
says it was a beautiful, hot, sunny day
when I was born. Every year on my
birthday, the sun always shines.
