DS - aged 3 - refers to cars by their colour, so our car, although actually dark grey, is "the black car".

Journalling~
There I was, sitting down and reading a book when Daddy called out to me, telling me to come out on the deck and bring the camera with me. I knew he was washing the car, but I didn't expect to find him taking a little rest while you did all the hard work for him. You were concentrating very hard on the job, making sure the car was going to be beautiful and clean. You were so busy that I had to call your name several times before I could get you to look up at me so I could take your picture. You weren't exactly looking your best, with biscuit crumbs on your chin and a runny nose - you always have a runny nose - but your smile and your obvious happiness more than made up for it.
