Journaling reads: Why do I love Christmas? Christmas is a time for family. It is a time when we skype with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins back in America. Daddy takes out his tablet, and we gather round for an international conversation. “Santa has visited here Grandpa. Has he visited there yet?” It is a time when we stay home from school and work and enjoy being together as a family. Come on Daddy, let’s play a game. I’ll get the cards, you get the board. It is a time when we decorate Christmas cookies with Mommy. When the cookies are done we decorate a gingerbread house. When the gingerbread house is done we eat the cookies. When the cookies are gone, we eat the house. Christmas is a time for presents. What’s in my stocking? It is a time to be together and celebrate Jesus coming to Earth as a baby. Christmas is joy.
