Utah-Colorado: I have lots of special memories of all the many places I have traveled around UT and CO! There are so many beautiful places in UT! Jim and I have taken a couple long weekends to go camping in central UT. We lived in northern UT for a summer and got to see many neat places in that area. In the early years of our marriage, Jim and I would travel and camp around different small towns in CO on our anniversary. I love the feel of the cute little towns hidden away in western CO. I also have many special memories of skiing and snowboarding in the same area. This is one of my very favorite places in the world!
Texas:As a teenager, my family went to TX for vacation. Of course, as teenagers are, my sister and I were reluctant to be positive about the trip. We soon warmed up and had a great time! I remember spending a night on the beach in our van. Seeing the moonlight dance on the water was awesome! We went to Sea World and a couple other aquariums, spent time with family, visited some caverns, and had an great time!
Oklahoma:In the summer of 2000, I went to OK to work at a summer camp. Two of the weeks, I was able to go do programs in different areas of OK and see some of the neat areas. We went boating, hiking, and site seeing.
Illinois:While working at DayStar Academy, I went with a group of students to film a set of programs, talking about teen issues. We didn’t get to do much site seeing, but it was neat to see the arch in ST. Louis.
Michigan:A university in MI was my college of choice. I soon found out that college really wasn’t my thing, yet I am still glad that I went for a year. Between studies, my friends and I spent time on the beach at the lake, went shopping in the cities, went to my first (and 2nd, and 3rd) concerts, went hiking and cross-country skiing.
Canada: I was 7.5 months pregnant, we found out some friends were going an a road trip to Canada the next day! We, spur of the moment, decided to go with them! It was an awesome trip! It was a little crazy camping on the ground being that pregnant but it was so worth it! We saw soo many beautiful places- waterfalls, lakes, rivers, glaciers, neat small towns. I just don’t have words to explain the grandeur!
Wyoming:For our honeymoon, Jim and I took a two week trip, camping and site seeing. We went up through CO, with a stop at Rocky Mtn. Natl Park. We continued up through WY and saw Tetons and Yellowstone. It ended up being a long trip for a honeymoon but we saw lots of beautiful places (but almost no animals!)
No.California: During the summer of 1999, my sister and I took a road trip to Lake Tahoe for camp meeting. We had an awesome time filled with blasting music, junk food, boys, camping, running around with friends, rain, cold, getting sick, and tons of fun memories!
So.California:In 1991, Mom, sister, and I went to SoCal for a week vacation. It was my first major traveling and I loved it! I got to see the ocean for the first time, went to Sea World, zoo, and visited family.
Hawaii: By far, my most treasured travels was to Hawaii. I went with a small group for a 2 week mission trip. We ended up not having things set for more than a few days of mission work, so we truly soaked up the relaxed culture and toured Oahu. Snorkeling, surfing, site seeing, shopping, luaus, learning some Hawaiian words and catching rays were just some of the unforgettable awesome times we had!
