Done for Tell your story challenge #4

journaling reads:
My mom is truely my hero. My parents got divorced when I was about 9 years old. I honestlry don’t have many memories of my dad, its weird, I was old enough to remember but don’t. He wasn’t a mean dad or anything and I do have a few fond memories with him. After my parents split up, he really didn’t care to see us anymore. He had a girlfriend at the time, she is now his wife, and she never wanted kids, especially us. So after that I never really saw him. My mom was so strong, she was left with 4 kids and a broken heart, I am sure. She didn’t often let in on how she felt, but sometimes at night I could here her crying, and now I know that it wasn’t only crying for herself but for us as well. When I was younger I was hurt by the fact that my own dad didn’t want me, and as I grew I realized that it truely is him that has missed out. In the 19 years that has passed, I think I have seen him a total of about 4 times. And I really don’t hate him for what he did or lack there of, I feel sorry for him, but have no resentment.
My mom was enough for me, I love her dearly, my best friend and one of the strongest woman I know.
