Shawna's journaling: For as long as I can remember I've wanted to be a Mom. It really didn't matter to me what else I might do in life or what accomplishments I might achieve as long as someday a child would call me Mommy. When I met your Daddy at the young age of 15 I just knew he would be the man I'd marry and that he'd be the father of my babies someday. I couldn't wait to finish high school and get married so we could start a family of our own. Of course your grandparents all insisted that we both go to college first and get our degrees before getting married. Those four years of school felt like the longest ever! There were times I felt like we would never get married or be able to start our family together. But we both did it and we were finally able to get married after over 6 long years of dating. By the time we celebrated our first wedding anniversary we were pregnant with you Kaylie! I absolutely loved being pregnant and feeling you move and grow inside my belly. I couldn't wait to finally meet my baby girl. But from the moment I first laid my eyes on you it was unconditional love I felt. I couldn't take my eyes off of you! I couldn't believe that after so many years I was finally a Mom! Looking at the photos
taken that day it is so easy to see that I was absolutely enamored with my brand new baby girl because in just about every one I'm looking down at you and not at the camera. So with all my heart I can honestly say that my greatest accomplishment in this world started by giving birth to you! Every time I hear
you or your sister or brother call me Mommy or Mama I know I am doing exactly what I'm meant to do.
