Journaling:
I have many typical fears. Fears of loss or injury or death of those I love. Of losing all my photos & scrapbooks & journals in a fire. That I’m screwing up my kids, or that I won’t be able to take care of them, teach them well enough, be a good enough example for them. I’m afraid of conflict, and unemployment, and instability. But while making a list of fears, I realized that so many of them seem to begin with:
“I’m afraid I won’t….”
That I won’t have said something, done something.
I think that’s my real fear.
Unfulfilled potential.
Especially my own.
Quote at bottom:
Many of our fears are tissue paper thin, and a single courageous step would carry us clear through them.
