Well... this one was tough. I may as well share the journaling, lol!
I don’t totally get how this even works,
how we can be so messed up sometimes
and still function and raise semi-normal
kids and keep a house together. I
love being with him, even when I wonder
how we’re possibly together. I look around
at other marriages, comparing our relatioship
with other couples that just seem to have
their act together, and I feel like
we’re miserable failures. . . but somehow
we keep trucking along, working through
issues (sometimes) one at a time, not
exactly successfully, not completely failing.
I wonder if this is just what life is,
if my romanticized ideal of marriage
and family isn’t as realistic as I think it’s
supposed to be. 17 years of ups and downs.
I hope the trend is ‘up.’

Beautifully done. I love the upper part of your layout with the stitched word art. Have to try that one time. And I can relate to what you're saying even though I don't have kids and I'm not married.

Oh ... well let me tell you I am pretty sure that other people dont have it so easy either. I think some people either hide or are anr't honest with themselves. My marriage has definitely been like that the past 16 years and like you we keep working it out and getting better along the way! Stay strong and never stop fighting for it to work

oh, valerie, what a heartful journaling.... wonderfully done and hey I think every marriage has his ups and downs... mine had to many downs and then he is gone.. work on your marriage always ;-)
