I took this a little different than I thought I would when I saw the prompt...both my youngest tried out for a club soccer. My youngest hasn't played soccer with a team at all, my middle son has played lots but because of a change in how ages are done, had to tryout for U10 instead of U9, he's a Dec. baby so was very nervous. Instead of 2 teams for U10 like normal, the club only had 1 this year and he didn't make it after tryouts that seemed very rough, with some very unkind players but he stuck it out and kept his sportsmanship up and is still wanting to go out to the academy they will have this fall and help get better to maybe make a spring team if they add another. And my youngest kept a smile on and never gave up even when she wasn't sure what to do. So there were so many signs of growth in the 2 days of tryouts and just after I saw in them both and wanted to document it. Sorry for the novel, but thought it needed some explaining
