Journaling: Green is serene and calming. Green is the color of God's creation. Beauty is the color of green as the sun shines through the trees. While in Germany in the summer of 2004, one of the things John and I loved to do was walk in the woods. The trails went for miles and walking them was so peaceful. While walking we saw many species of mushrooms. The one I am holding is a cauliflower mushroom and was delicious. The ones that John is holding are Shaggy Mains and also edible. These mushrooms grow in our lawn, but ours are much much smaller in comparison to the ones that grow wild in the woods of Germany. While the Pacific Northwest is green and beautiful, the beauty doesn't quite compare with the woods in Germany.
