I have actual tears Wendy. You know I know this feeling well! No matter how much time passes I never forget it even in the slightest! Praise God that both our soldiers have always come home! ❤️

Beautiful page - touching journaling. I, too, know this feeling all too well. My husband was career Army for 28 years. My daughters and I said "goodbye" many times, as well. I thank God that our heroes came home safely every time, too!

Wow! Your journaling and photos are so poignant!! I can only imagine how hard this would be your family, and am so thankful for the sacrifice that not only your husband has made, but your whole family has made. I love the row of small photos! This is beyond amazing!

Oh, my heart is right there with you. Deployments are SO hard, and to have the departure drawn out like that is bittersweet and emotionally exhausting. We don't get to farewell my husband like this. We say goodbye at home and he leaves like it's any other workday. Same with the homecoming - we have to wait at home. You've scrapped this memory amazingly. Your children with treasure it.

Amazing page! You really captured the emotions of his departure day in your journaling. The column of tiny photos fits this so well, sharing many glimpses of the day while letting the focus of the page remain on the title and journaling.
