Boys don’t cry every time you look at
them in a less-than-gracious way. Boys
don’t care if their pajamas match...
or if they even wear them.
Boys don’t even care if you have to
pull their jeans out of the dirty clothes or
if they have to wear their shoes without socks
because you forgot to do the laundry... again.
Boys don’t care if they lose a game of Candyland
or if they get scolded for using their shirt as a
napkin. Boys let you play their video games and
tell you that you’re the best cook ever when you
heat up a jar of pasta sauce. They could wait a
whole week before telling you they’ve
lost their toothbrush, but they’ll scrub behind their
ears if you threaten to kiss them in front
of their friends. Boys are sweet on their mamas
and loyal to their daddies.
