My Gr Grandmother and uncle with the new home that my Gr Grandparents built back in 1906. The sad thing is, just a couple of years later they lost it due to the fact that they put it up for bond when my Gr Gr Grandfather got himself in trouble with the law and then took off. They wound up living dirt poor, running a sporting camp, living in a log cabin in the wilds of Mt. Katahdin. She actually led a really interesting life though, starting out as a mail order bride and traveled from RI to Sherman, Me by stagecoach to marry my Gr Grandfather, a very brave woman. Lost her leg in her 30's....turns out she needed that courage to live the life she led!
