My DD is preparing for big changes in her life and its a time of uncertainty and exhileration in equal measures. She is really looking forward to the things she hopes High School will bring to her and also worried about so many aspects of the future ahead. She is constantly wishing year 6 would end and allow her to begin the next phase of her young life (secretly she is still grasping at the carefreeness of childhood desperately hoping it will stay with her for a few more years!)
'Do you know' (the theme from Mahogany) seemed to sum this phase up in many ways and I thought the lyrics were a perfect tribute to this stage in her journey! TFL
