Journaling Reads: Located only a few miles away from downtown Los Angeles, the Griffith Park fire consumed over 800 acres of parkland. Thanks to the valiant effort of firefighters, no lives were lost and no buildings were destroyed. These pictures were taken from the balcony of our home.
It was unseasonably warm that day: 95 degrees fahrenheit, 7% humidity, with gusty winds. Only 4 in. of rain to date for the year.
Even though I'm far away...it scares me every year when the 'fire season' approaches. Those fires seem to have a life of it's own. They have amazing colors against the night sky though.
