To make a very long story short, when I had a hip replacement going horribly wrong in 2003, followed by another 4 operations that failed miserably to fix the initial error, so, the operation that was supposed to improve my quality of life left me with a number of impairments that I have been battling on since. One of the things I call collaterals, because aren't major issues, just annoying, is the fact that I was left with one leg longer than the other. They were supposed to make me taller, but because I didn't let them operate in the other leg, given the disaster they did with the one, I have now to get a shoe rise, the hospital does free of charge, but it isn't any kind of shoe or boot they can do...and my most loved foot wear, cowboy boots, are one of those in which the hill cannot be done.
