I love the idea of breaking up the journaling into sections around the page. What a fun "Christmas Miracle" to scrap about. Sometimes it's those little things that make such a difference.

Wow, this is quite a story! I'm sorry it's been a rough season for you, and I love that this helped encourage you to look for silver linings. I hope you have a lovely Christmas despite things being different this year. And I so hate breaking ornaments--I break at least 3 every year, and it just makes me so sad.
