His heartbeat was fine. He already had descended a little bit, but there were no signs that he was coming soon. And story about how my parents ordered a baby crib to put at her place. She's going to babysit my baby when I have to return my work. And story about the 34th week of my pregnancy. And last but not least... We have the tradition in Belgium to give candy as a thank you present to the people who come to visit you and the baby. The candy is a bit like M&M's, but different. It's called "doopsuiker" or "suikerbonen" in Dutch. It looks like this: https://www.vanparys.com/be-nl/suike...0aAmf3EALw_wcB and comes in all colors you can think of. At the photo below you can see the packages of "suikerbonen" I ordered. They were ready and I could go and pick them up. I really like how they turned out. When my baby is born, I think I'm making an extra layout, just with the suikerbonen. That's a sweet tradition! I am glad to hear that everything is going well for baby so far. This page is so cute--amazing mix of kits here!

Thank you, ladies! For the candy itself I chose dark blue, copper and some sort of off white. The boxes and packages are custom made and made to match the candy, so dark blue and copper.
It's a fun tradition indeed. I'll have more photos and layouts of them later on.

Another beautiful page to your baby book. I love all the journaling and the stories you are leaving for him. Love the candy tradition too, so fun. Love the giraffe and soft colors.

Such a wonderful layout. The candy tradition sounds nice. The candy reminds me of something I've seen here given out at weddings sometimes. I love the progression of your baby book.

This always sweet! Love your baby album and sure it will be cherished! Such a fun tradition, we have the same but for Baptism and traditionally it's only almond, it's called dragee (now there's with chocolate) but I love this idea and this tradition!

aaahh those candy!! I love them so much. I hate the almond filled ones but the chocolates were always my favorites. We would get them as favor during weddings. Such fond memories!
