For the Scrap with the SugarBabes Challenge #4
journaling-
Is this you, Grandpa? This Tomb of the Unknowns could be where your body lies. We will never know. Actually, I don’t know much about you at all. You died in 1942 while serving in WWII- just 2 years after my dad was born. Your body was never identified. Having a baby and being a widow was hard on your wife... and she gave my dad up for adoption. I don’t even know your whole name. The one thing I do know is that you gave everything for your country. You were a hero. I live safe and free because of you. You changed this world, you served your country, and you touched my life... even though I never knew you. But maybe I know everything I need to. You were brave, you mattered, you sacrificed for this nation. And I respect that so much Grandpa.
quote at bottom right-
This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave. -Elmer Davis
