Oh my goodness look how young your kids are! I'm glad your husband was able to parlay his layoff into something that turned out so well. Even though it doesn't always seem like it at the time, I'm a firm believe that everything happens for a reason. I had a similar experience (job-wise). Anyway, I love how you used the kit and template together to tell your story!
