As long as I can remember I have been the "Black Sheep" of our family. I have been the different one. I struggled with disabilities growing up which made me "different" than the norm. And as I grew older my views and thoughts were different than the ones around me. This has often left me excluded from family functions or pushed aside. Few understand the true me. I have always only had a few close friends I could open up to. And a select number of people I truly let inside. Yet being different has its perks. I am more creative than some around me. In a room of white sheep, I stand out. My uniqueness is what makes me special. And I am learning to embrace it with open arms.
