Summer Scrap-A-Thon: Aug 27th - A Different Kind of Summer

Translation of journaling :
This summer will have been different from all the others. This year, it was difficult for us to leave for the holidays.
We were hoping to do a lot of outings.
That was without counting the heat waves that we suffered all summer!
Without air conditioning, it was horrible!
We couldn't do anything! The children no longer wanted to play in their pool because they were afraid of wasps.
We are on water restriction due to drought.
In some places you can cross the Loire on foot... There were mega fires all over France.
It is really very worrying. It's still hot and still no rain.
I dream of autumn.

Oh my gosh, Europe has been in our news daily. It's unbelievable what climate change is doing to our planet and still there are those that don't believe. We had drought-like conditions for 2 summers in a row but nothing compared to what you are going through. Your layout is amazing, I love it! Sending rain vibes your way xxx

No AC?! How horrible! I am so sorry this summer was so awful! I do love how you scrapbooked it, though!

Your page is amazing! I love how you've documented everything. Sounds like our usual summers here in Australia, and I know they're not pleasant! Hope you'll have some cooler weather and rain soon.

Oh honey - I'm sorry you didn't have relief with AC. The page is perfect - definitely humorous with the journal card, but also scary and real. (((hugs)))

Yes, it was FAR TOO HOT. I love how you scrapped about the heat wave though. I love the photos and the details. And I love that you turned it into a pocket page. Beautifully done.
