Option A Family Traditions
I've enjoyed having a fireplace and mantle to decorate and gather around since our house in CO. I decorate the top of the mantle with a pine garland and lights as well as other holiday decor. Some years it has been a nativity set or my German Dept 56 houses, or sometimes like this year it is random things that make me smile from the miscellaneous decor boxes: the Rodney Reindeer my dad gave us, Santa Mickey & Minnie and Peter Peppermint Elf and his dog Garland. Christmas morning we gather around the fireplace to open stockings and gifts.
