This is my husband's birth mother, who gave him up to a cousin when he was a newborn. She kept his half sister, and allowed her to take his birth
father's name (convoluted enough yet?)
His adopted mother died when he was 13, his adopted father died about 10 years ago, and
he only found out about being adopted a
few years ago when a long-lost cousin spilled
the beans.
