Journaling:
I am so SICK and TIRED of going to school. I am struggling so much in all my courses. I have no desire to go to class anymore and I hate all the courses I’m taking.
What happened?
I worked my butt off all through high school. I graduated in the top 5% of my class. I had a 4.13 GPA. I was an AP and Honors student. Up until 3 semesters ago, I was a great college student as well. I got straight-A’s aside from the single C that blemished my college transcript. But now I’m lucky to see an A grace my grade report at the end of the semester. It’s my fault, I know. I don’t work as hard as I used to. I am now a wife and mother. I work two jobs. I just do NOT have the energy to do school full-time anymore.
I am not superwoman.
I can’t do it all.
And it hurts me to admit that. I am so used to being an over achiever... the “smart girl.” But I can’t do it anymore.
I need a break.
Please, just one semester off of school. I know my dad is probably very disappointed in my decision. But it’s MY decision to make. I’m a grown woman. And for goodness sake, I’m only 23 years old! There’s still time.
I’ll finish.
But for now I have to prioritize my life... or I’m going to go crazy.
