My daughter has this love affair with the binkie - one time, we forgot to bring it to the mall when we went out, and when she was sleepy, she threw a fit when she didnt get to have it. We bought one, a different type and brand, and she just threw it away. Needless to say, we now have four of the same binkie, in stock, just in case
Im gradually weaning her though.
