AT first glance it looks like a really cute picture of my son. It is. It's also my wheelchair. I have been a paraplegic since 1999. I won't lie. I hate it. It sucks, but I am not going to let this define who I am or tell me what I can and can't do. I am changed, but still the same. I have the same dreams. I am married and a mommy. My son and husband are the best things that ever happened to me and no one can gurantee that they would be who they are if this hadn't happened to me. You can say I can't be sure of that, I love what I have so much, can't take that chance. I can't think about how things might have been. There is no way they could ever have come even close to being this wonderful. Yes, I am stuck in this chair forevver. I will never walk, dance or feel again. I've gotten over it. I've moved on. Yes, that's life. My life.

your page is so beautiful! I love the picture you chose and the elegant simlicity of everything - it is so perfect.

My mom has been has been in a wheelchair because of a car accident for several years now, and I think your journaling is so beautiful and moving here - it really rings true.

you are obviously a very very strong woman, and I look forward to "getting to know you" here at SSD more!

This is amazing. Your journaling is very touching...I can't imagine all the different feelings you must have gone through over the past 7 years, but it's very neat to see that you have chosen to focus on the good (the wonderful!) that has come from it. I love the shape of the journaling too...very cool!!

I will only say what you did "I don't know what to say..." I can't imagine facing the challenges you have had, but you have obviously handled it beautifully! Look at that boy! Look at this beautiful page!

Powerful pix and LO. I can't imagine how hard it was for you when your life changed in this way. You sound so strong and you don't let it hold you back.

What a thing to keep to yourself all this time! I love the way you used the photo so you had to take a second look... You are so right not to let it define you, and it's a really great thing that you can see the positive side to things, even though things would have been undoubtedly tough... Thanks for sharing!
