One of the most important lessons I have learned
from my parents is the value of time. My dad
has always emphasized how precious time is, and
how your personal time and what you do with it
will shape who you are. Both my parents don?t waste their time. They travel, they are always taking days off from work, and they always try to do what they want to do. Most of my pictures of my family are of us taking the time to do things
and have fun. The emphasis on time shapes my life. I work by the clock (I am a teacher). I have a ton of hobbies and I do my best to make time for
something everyday. My parents stressed growing up to make sure I enjoy the work that I do. I think this is why I am still a teacher. I enjoy spending my time with kids. I am not in it for the money-
because there isn?t any-but I work for the time off. No amount of money can ever replace the time that I am given. Now that we have daughter, I want to instill the value of time because now
more than ever, I realize how quickly it goes by.

This is such an uplifting and meaningful piece of journalling and an incredible lesson to have received through example. I love that you chose to tie this in with a fishing theme - its the only sport I know that requires a great deal of patience over a good length of time! Wow on that fish line up too - quite a catch!!
