These photos are special to me. The orange sculptures behind me in the photo are tiny sculptures that represent people who got killed during WWI here in Belgium. There were 600.000 victims in Belgium, so there are 600.000 sculptures. Some are in Ypres, but some are all across Belgium. I happen to have one of them at my home. So it was a dream for me to visit this land art installation, because I'm connecting to it by the sculpture. What a lovely what to memorialize the lives lost. I really like the pairing of the b&w photo with the colour photos.
