I can totally understand. Sometimes it scares me to death to see the same things in me, that I sooo dislike about some other people. I guess almost everyone is scared to turn into someone we can't love.

As for your former self - the one you hate - I can imagine it's frightening to still have her in yourself. But just a thought: While she was the less disciplined one, the one holding you back and what not... when I see the photos, I don't think the "new" is the one that got rid of the "old" one.
I see that the old one had it in herself to become the new one. She must have had some determination and the disciplin to change, when she finally saw it had to be done. A quite remarkable person that one.
