My son did not go to the Pet Connection with the idea of doing an Eagle Project, he went because his brothers told him of this wonderful place where animals had "bedrooms" and "play dates". We volunteered to help out and soon my son saw a desperate need for an Isolation Room and decided that an Eagle project would bring in enough help to complete this and additional other small projects that the shelter so desperately needed. He was honored that Fall with the "Project of the Year Award" for his contribution to the center.
Journaling:
Scott chose to build an isolation room for the
animals at Pet Connection. They were having a
problem with other animals getting sick because
they could not isolate the sick animals from the
healthy ones. In all his eagle project took over
230 man hours to complete! Scott did not want
an Eagle Ceremony honoring him, because he
said he did the Eagle project because the
animals needed it, not because he wanted
recognition. August 19, 2006
