In Slovakia we celebrate 'namedays'. Every day in a calendar has a certain name(s) assigned. Nameday celebration is not as big as birthday celebration, but people usualy buy each other chocolate or/and a little flower or any other little gift.
I have decided to collect some name meanings and characteristics of the names of my closest co-workers and create such original gifts for them.
The very first one was Vlasta (Slavic variant of Patricia) who celebrates her nameday on 19th February. The main characteristic of this female name is strenght, fighting spirit and sense of solidarity.
