Journaling: In October 2006, mom was going through chemotherapy for her cancer. Every three weeks I drove up to be with her so that I could be at every treatment. I wanted to be there for her, and those were the moments that mattered. I really thought she was going to be okay. But I never took our time together for granted. I decided that I was going to spend as much time with her as possible, so that no matter what happened, I would have no regrets. We had heart-to-heart talks, and we made every minute count. Now she’s been gone for a year and 8 months. I would have never imagined back in Oct 2006 that she would be gone so soon. There hasn’t been a day when I didn’t think about her or miss her. I’m so grateful that I took time off from work to be with her back then. I have no regrets about how much time I got to spend with her. They were the most precious moments of my life. I will always cherish the memories I have of her. October 2006 was a hard time, but it’s even more difficult now without her. I hope that as time goes by it will start to hurt less.

Love the LO, but especially the journaling! Very heartfelt and I can relate (I lost my Dad in April 2006).
