Journaling: As a newcomer to the Houston area, I had no idea what to expect when Ike came into town. Late the evening before the storm hit land, the sky was absolutely gorgeous. The clouds captured the sun reflections beautifully, and it was so hard to believe that there was really a storm coming our way.
