08.27.10: what a great way to start your 40th birthday...in Vegas!!!!!We sort of split up during the day and just walked around and such then had dinner plans at Gallagher’s where the steak was absolutely AMAZING!!!!! We then headed to the dueling piano bar and had our group shot for the night! We stayed out and didn’t get to bed until 5 am!!!! 08.28.10: We walked around some more today and then went out fro dinner at Il Fornio’s Italian restaurant where we celebrated my birthday again~ and then we headed off to check out the bar at the top of the Mandalay bay where the view of the strip was AMAZING! 08.29.10: Kim and Maryann left this morning and the rest of us girls just chilled for the day by the pool and then did a little shopping....we went and had dinner at “the Pub” in the Monte Carlo and dinner was wonderful and we managed to get there just in time to get 2 free drinks each before 7 pm
then we headed to Freemont street, but took us FOREVER to get back on the bus! It was cool to see the light show, but boy was I pooped by the time we got back to the hotel. 08.30.10: time to head home...we took our time and Connie gambled a little more and actually won while we were waiting for Joe [our cabbie [, who was the husband of a friend on the acherryontop message board....he treated us good and didn’t rip us off on our ride to the airport....we made it home safe and sound and I was glad to have another day off to recover, but I do think it took most of us about a week to finally recover from our girls trip to Vegas!
