Journaling Reads: Ahh naps. Definitely our biggest struggle. Scarlett has always suffered from that frustrating ‘45 Minute Intruder’. In other words, she can’t seem to sleep past 45 minutes during her naps. She’s always been a very good night sleeper, so we definitely count ourselves blessed. But those darn naps are a different story! No matter what I try, how much I read, research, troubleshoot, nothing helps. Scarlett always wakes up sad & tired after 45 minutes. If she woke up happy, I’d just deal with these short naps. But its obvious she wants to sleep longer, she just can’t. I’ve driven myself crazy reading anything I can get my hands on about baby sleep habits. But it’s almost like the harder I work at it, the worse it gets. Everyone tells me she’ll grow out of it, but that doesn’t help me now! I need to be able to get things done while she’s sleeping. But 45 minutes is just not enough time. Plus, she’s TIRED! She needs to sleep. I’ve had to let her just cry herself back to sleep. Sometimes she can do that quickly, but most days it takes her a good 15-20 minutes to get herself back to sleep. I really hope one of the methods Josh & I have been trying works or she grows out of it soon! In this picture she had just woken up from one of her rare ‘good naps’. Bad naps or good naps, she is so precious.
