Not being a musician, I didn’t realize what Robert meant when he said he was going to be first chair for festival orchestra; I was just happy that he would be sitting in the front row so that I could get good photos. I didn’t realize until just before the concert that first chair meant that everone would be listening to him - and he earned the position by working hard and playing the best in 7th grade chamber orchestra. Way to go, Robert, I’m very proud of you!
