Text reads: There are two sides to every story. Your Dad’s side is that he didn’t expect you to catch on so quickly. My side is that he already did this to me with your sisters! Let me tell you about when Ava and Ella learned to ride without training wheels. I was a busy resident but home for the weekend and left to get my haircut for an hour. When I came back, the girls were riding on their own-I didn’t even know they were going to try! I felt so sad for missing a milestone. Fast forward to 2013. We had never discussed taking your training wheels off. I was packing up my stuff to come home from the office and your Daddy sends me a picture of you on your bike without training wheels! It happened again! I couldn’t believe it! Daddy said he took them off and you just caught on faster than he expected. I might have missed your first ride but it was still a joy to see the pride in your eyes as you showed off your new skill to me, the neighbors, and any random stranger who happened to walk by! Great job buddy! I’m so proud of you. You are going to have a blast riding that bike at Cutty’s this summer! March 2013.
