Scrap-a-thon Aug 16 - Cruel Summer

Nothing too cruel compared to everything that is happening now in France and around the world.
I was thinking of heat waves, fires, tornadoes etc.

I chose that moment for us because we really had to cancel the vacation, we traveled 1000 km in one day round trip and we were never able to be refunded.
Today we have fun thinking of it but it's still not a very good memory.

The children caught chickenpox just before leaving for two weeks at ocean.
The doctor had advised us to leave anyway. But when we got there, there was a heat wave, the children couldn't play in the salt water, no sand, no sun, no sunscreen, and they had a fever and their pimples scratched them terribly. We preferred to go back home...All very sad at the moment!
