My Veteran son, with his service dog always by his side, has participated in ruck walks and other events to increase awareness, education and aid in the prevention of suicide among veterans. In doing so, he has walked many miles on nature trails and kayaked among the gators in his home state of Florida. He has also learned that being in the forest and on the trails greatly benefits his mental health.

I love the pics he sends me from time to time of their adventures and the mother in me had to include the pic of them resting in the floor after they returned home from one of their adventures; its just amazing how close they are, and how "tuned in" Nick's best friend is with him.
