This was in 2003, when my mum was here from South America for the first 3 operations, we went through very, very hard times until summer, but then turn it all around and the laughter in our kitchen (from the 3 of us but couldn't find the photo with my mum) our neighbours wanted to come to ours because we sounded so happy....the British were not used to see kids the kind Sarita is, and much laughter came following the fact that they couldn't believe she likes spinach, brown rice, sushi and anything that comes from the sea...!!!! Anyway, the sound of laughter those months with my mum here are a treasure to both of us.
